    About

    A holistic, deeply human practice.

Twenty-five years of meeting people exactly where they are.

    A Collaboration

Every session begins the same way - a pause, a breath, a gentle body scan. We arrive fully before we begin. It is simple, grounding, and for many clients, the part of the week they look forward to most.

From there, the session belongs to you. I follow your lead, not a predetermined agenda. Some days we go deep into something tender. Some days we laugh. Some days we cry. It all counts as therapy. We might use music, movement, guided imagery, or open dialog. Whatever serves you.

No two people are the same, and no two sessions are either. You are not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. You are a whole person, and that is how we will work.

My office mates - Stella (5), Lizzie (11) and Piper (3). They keep the couch warm, the energy soft, and the treat budget very real.

    Student of People

This work chose me as much as I chose it. Life is my greatest teacher, and she is not always gentle. I sit with grief, with uncertainty, with the slow work of remembering who I am underneath everything that happens. I know what it takes to find your way back to yourself, because I do it too.

What I have lived informs how I practice - our experiences do not simply happen to us. They call our attention to where we need to grow.

My insatiable curiosity keeps me a student of people, and I learn so much from being in relationship with you. I wish to keep meeting with amazing humans in our sacred space for as long as I have the privilege of holding it.

    Education and Experience

I have always been drawn to people - what shapes us, why we hurt, how we heal. That curiosity led me to a psychology degree at the University of Vermont, then dual master's degrees in social work and public health from Tulane University, with a focus on maternal and child health.

My career began where life begins, as a medical social worker in prenatal care and on a maternity floor in New Orleans. From there, clinical work with pregnant and parenting teens and young adults in Burlington, Vermont. Then San Francisco, where I directed domestic services at an adoption agency, supporting newborns, birth parents making one of the most difficult decisions a person can make, and adoptive families waiting to welcome a new baby.

Twenty-five years later, I am exactly where I am meant to be, working one on one with people in private practice. The through line has never changed - being of service to people in need of help, and honoring the courage it takes to reach out.

Time and again I have witnessed the strength, vulnerability, and wisdom people carry. Bearing witness to that healing is a dream and a privilege.

In My Free Time I Find My Flow

I relax on the beach watching my boys surf and my three dogs play, ocean waves rolling, sun on my skin, and a cool breeze. I dance. I play weekly pickleball with some fantastic humans. I indulge in heavy doses of friend and family time. I try new things. I sleep as long as possible in my cozy bed. I spend time in nature.

My flow is any moment that holds me completely. Playful, present, timeless.

I want that for you. Not my version. Yours.
