## Confusion - When the Story Stops Matching Reality 

Something inside you knows the truth, even when the words keep trying to convince you otherwise. They say one thing and do another. The apologies sound sincere, yet nothing actually changes. You catch yourself over-explaining, having one more conversation, hoping this time they will finally understand. But the math never works - their promises plus their actions keep coming up short.

This is the confusion that defines narcissistic abuse. It is not one loud moment. It is a thousand small moments where reality and the story you are told stop matching. You are not making it up. You are not too much. What you are experiencing is real, even if no one else has named it yet.

## Still In It, Just Getting Out, or Long Gone 

Wherever you are in this, you belong here. Some people arrive while still in the relationship, finally naming what has felt wrong for years. Some come in the raw aftermath. Others come years later, still carrying what they cannot explain. For many, leaving is not an option right now, for reasons of finances, children, safety, or because this person is family.

This work is not about what you should do. It is about understanding what you are experiencing, reconnecting with yourself, and finding solid ground exactly where you stand.

## Let's Be Really Clear About Something 

What you experienced was real. Gaslighting is real. Emotional manipulation for power and control is real - and it is debilitating and destructive. The slow erosion of your confidence and your sense of self is harm, even without raised voices, even when they were charming to everyone else in the room. You are not too sensitive. You did not overreact. You owe no one a more generous interpretation of what you lived through.

## Finding Your Way Back to Yourself 

We begin with safety - in the space we share, in your body, in your own perception of what is true. From there we untangle what belongs to you from what was handed to you. We rebuild trust in your instincts and intuition, which were there all along. You simply learned to override them to keep the peace.

Healing does not make you harder or more guarded. It makes you more fully yourself - grounded, clear, and free.
