# Online Therapy in San Jose 

In San Jose, an appointment across town can cost two hours of a day that did not have two hours in it. That alone keeps a lot of people from ever starting.

I am licensed in California and work entirely by video, so if you are physically located in San Jose, therapy happens wherever you are rather than wherever I am.

## Duty, Family, and the Cost of Being the Reliable One 

Many people I work with grew up in households where the family was the unit and individual wants came second, or came later, or came never. Sometimes three generations share a home. Sometimes the expectation traveled across an ocean before you did.

That upbringing can produce enormous strength and a deep sense of obligation that makes ordinary choices feel like betrayals. Changing careers. Setting a limit with a parent. Ending a relationship your family approved of.

We do not work toward cutting people off. We work toward being able to have your own life without treating it as a moral failure.

## Therapy That Fits an Actual Schedule 

Long commutes, caregiving in both directions, and shifts that do not end when the calendar says they do make an in-person appointment fragile. One traffic incident and the week's session is gone.

Online sessions remove the drive. People join from a parked car, a spare room, or an office with the door shut, and the work continues on weeks that would otherwise have collapsed.

Consistency matters more to outcomes than the room you sit in.

## What I Specialize In 

Grief and loss, narcissistic abuse and relationship trauma, separation and divorce, and pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting challenges.

My approach is warm and direct. I ask real questions, and I will tell you what I notice rather than reflecting everything back to you.

There is no fee for the first consultation call.
