# Online Therapy in Palo Alto 

Palo Alto is a small place where a great many people know each other, and where the standard for a good life has been set unusually high for at least two generations running.

I am licensed in California and work entirely by video, so anyone physically located in Palo Alto can meet with me privately, from home.

## Privacy in a Community Where Everyone Overlaps 

The concern is rarely dramatic. It is that a parent from school works in the same building as your therapist, or that you will run into someone in the lobby, or that your industry is small enough that discretion feels thin.

Online sessions solve most of that. There is no waiting room and no parking lot. You close a door, and the hour belongs to you.

I hold confidentiality carefully, and I will explain its limits clearly before we begin rather than leaving you to guess.

## Achievement That Was Never Optional 

For many people here, excellence was the baseline expectation before they had any say in the matter, and it has since been passed down to their own children with the best of intentions.

The result is often a person who is extremely accomplished, quietly certain it is not enough, and unable to enjoy any of it because the next assessment is already approaching.

We look at where that standard came from, what it has protected you from feeling, and what it would mean to be a person and not a record of outcomes.

## My Focus and Approach 

Grief and loss, narcissistic abuse and relationship trauma, separation and divorce, and pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting challenges.

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which tends to suit people who have already tried to think their way out and found that it does not work.

The consultation call is free, and there is no obligation to continue after it.
