# Online Therapy in Marin County 

There is a particular loneliness in having a life other people would trade for and feeling unable to say that something is wrong with it.

I am licensed in California and see clients by video, so anyone physically located in Marin County can work with me without crossing a bridge.

## A Life That Looks Enviable From Outside 

The house is beautiful. The children turned out well. From the outside, nothing is missing, which is exactly why the emptiness is so hard to name and so hard to be heard about.

Complaining feels indefensible, so you do not. And unspoken things do not stay still. They turn into distance in a marriage, or drinking a little more in the evenings, or an irritability you cannot trace.

You do not have to justify your entitlement to be unhappy before we can talk about it.

## Midlife, the Empty Nest, and What Comes Next 

When the last child leaves, the structure that organized twenty years of your days goes with them. Some people feel relief and then feel awful about the relief. Others find themselves across the table from a person they have not been alone with in a long time.

There is grief in this, even when everything went right. Grief for the version of yourself who was needed hourly.

We work on what your life is for now, which is a real question and not a self-indulgent one.

## What I Specialize In 

Grief and loss, recovery from narcissistic abuse and relationship trauma, separation, divorce, and the ending of important relationships, and the pregnancy and parenting years.

My approach is relational and unhurried. I will not rush you toward a decision about your marriage or your next chapter.

Sessions are online, and the first consultation is free.
