# Holistic Psychotherapy 

You are not a symptom list. You are a whole person — a mind, a body, a history, a set of relationships, a sense of meaning, all of it interacting all of the time. Holistic psychotherapy simply takes that seriously. Rather than isolating one problem and treating it in a vacuum, it asks how everything in your life is touching everything else.

## A Whole Person, Not a Symptom List 

The anxiety and the marriage and the sleep and the work and the aging parents are not five separate problems. They are one life, and they are in conversation with each other. Treating them separately can help for a while, but lasting change usually requires stepping back far enough to see the whole pattern.

Holistic work is interested in all of it: how you eat and sleep and move, what you believe, who you love, what you have lost, what you secretly hope for. Not because therapy should pry everywhere, but because you live everywhere.

## Mind, Body, Spirit and Relationships 

In practice this means our work might move between a childhood memory, a sensation in your chest, a spiritual question you have been circling for years, and the conversation you are avoiding with your sister. Nothing is off-topic, because nothing about you is off-topic.

For some people the spiritual dimension is central; for others it barely comes up. Either is fine. Holistic means we follow what is actually true for you, not a template.

## How This Shapes the Work 

My approach weaves holistic psychotherapy together with psychodynamic, depth-oriented and body-based work, including mindfulness and breathwork. Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes, online, for adults physically located anywhere in California.
